HANOI -- Between Jan. 1 and July 29, Vietnam spotted over 105,000 dengue fever patients, more than trebling the cases in the same period last year, Vietnam News Agency reported on Tuesday.

VIENTIANE -- The Visit Laos-China Year 2019 tourism promotion has proved successful in driving up visitor numbers, local daily Vientiane Times on Tuesday quoted Lao tourism officials as saying.

Visitors from China had increased by 13 percent and Vietnamese visitors by 11 percent, although the number of visitors from Thailand rose by only 1 percent. (Laos-China-Tourism promotion)

HONG KONG -- At least 77 people were injured Tuesday after two double-decker buses collided just outside the Tai Lam Tunnel in Hong Kong, according to the Information Services Department of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government.

Some passengers on one of the buses said that the speed of the bus was normal when the accident happened, according to local media. (Hong Kong-Bus collision)

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan -- A trainer plane of Pakistani army crashed at a residential area on early Tuesday morning in Pakistan's eastern district of Rawalpindi, killing at least 12 persons and leaving 10 others injured, local media and military said.
