NAIROBI Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Saturday.
-- Major shock awaits nearly 190,000 teachers as the employer moves to recover billions of shillings paid to Kenya National Union of Teachers members two years ago when the 54 billion shillings (540 million U.S. dollars) salary increment was implemented.
It will now be a double blow to teachers allied to Knut as the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) lowers their job grades in a major demotion move meant to comply with the recent labor court orders. (Saturday Standard)
