NEW YORK -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) fired unidentified projectiles off its east coast early Tuesday local time, the fourth such launch in less than two weeks, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported.

The projectiles were fired twice early in the morning from South Hwanghae Province, Yonhap cited the country's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) as saying. (DPRK-Projectiles)

MEXICO CITY -- The number of Mexicans killed as a result of Saturday's mass shooting in El Paso, U.S. state of Texas, climbed to eight, Mexican Foreign Affairs Minister Marcelo Ebrard said on Monday.

The latest fatal victim was identified as Juan de Dios Velazquez Chairez, a native of Mexico's northern state of Zacatecas, who succumbed to his wounds while in hospital. (Mexico-US-Crime)

TORONTO -- Five people were wounded in a shooting at a nightclub in Toronto Monday morning, according to Toronto police.

LA PAZ -- At least 14 people were killed and another 21 injured when a passenger bus fell into a ravine Sunday night in Bolivia, local authorities reported on Monday.

The accident occurred around midnight on Sunday near the town of Charazani, 251 km from La Paz, according to preliminary information obtained, said Osvaldo Fuentes, director of public transit of El Alto, Bolivia's second-largest city. (Bolivia-Bus-Accident) Enditem
