ULAN BATOR -- A total of 10 people were killed in traffic accidents in Mongolia on Monday and Tuesday, the country's traffic police department said Wednesday.

"A total of 10 people, including two children, lost their lives in three separate traffic accidents in the country in only two days' time," the department said. (Mongolia-Traffic Accident)

SAN JOSE -- A 5.4-magnitude earthquake jolted northern and central Costa Rica on Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Seismological Network at the University of Costa Rica.

The quake struck at 3:14 p.m. local time (21:14 GMT), 2 kilometers north of Venecia de San Carlos, a town located 81 kilometers north of the capital San Jose, the agency said. (Costa Rica-Quake)

BAGHDAD -- Four would-be suicide bombers affiliated with Islamic State (IS) militant group were killed Wednesday during a raid by Iraqi security forces in eastern Diyala province, Diyala's governor said.

A force from the intelligence of the provincial Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) raided an IS hideout in the area of Galli, about 65 km east of the provincial capital Baquba, Muthanna al-Tamimi, who is also head of security committee of the provincial council, said in a statement. SANAA -- Flash floods caused by heavy monsoon rains killed at least nine people in the past 24 hours, displaced hundreds of families in Yemen's northwestern province of Mahweet, local authorities said on Wednesday.
