NEW DELHI -- Around 20 people died and over 22,000 were evacuated in floods over the last 24 hours in India's southern state of Kerala, media reported on Friday.
Most parts of the state were witnessing a heavy rainfall. A warning has been issued in Idukki, Malappuram, Wayanad and Kozhikode districts following heavy spells of rain and landslides. Wayanad is one of the worst-hit districts. (India-Floods)

MANILA -- Three leftist rebels and a government soldier have been killed in a clash in the central Philippines, the military said on Friday.
The Philippine Army said in a report that two other soldiers have also been wounded in the 30-minute clash between government troops and about 20 New People's Army guerrillas that broke out around 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday in a small village in Himamaylan City of Negros Occidental province. MEXICO CITY -- Mexican authorities have discovered the remains of 19 people across the city of Uruapan in the western state of Michoacan, the local public prosecutor's office said Thursday.
The bodies were found lying close to one another in the northeastern part of Uruapan, which is the second most populous city of Michoacan and famous for its avocado plantations, state prosecutor Adrian Lopez said at a press conference. (Mexico-Gang-Deaths) Enditem
