HOUSTON -- The suspect accused of carrying out the mass shooting in El Paso, U.S. state of Texas, last weekend confessed to officers and said that he had been targeting Mexicans, authorities said Friday.

Detective Adrian Garcia said in an arrest warrant affidavit that Patrick Crusius, 21, emerged with his hands up from a vehicle that was stopped at an intersection shortly after last Saturday's attack and told officers, "I'm the shooter." (US-El Paso-Shooting)

ATHENS -- Two boats collided on Friday night in the Argolic Gulf, east of Peloponnese peninsula, Greece, two men lost their lives during the accident, and a woman was seriously injured, Hellenic Coast Guard confirmed on Friday.

NEW YORK -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Saturday (local time) fired two unidentified projectiles into the East Sea, South Korea's Yonhap news agency said, citing the country's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

The projectiles were fired from near the northeastern city of Hamhung and the military is monitoring the situation in case of additional launches while maintaining a readiness posture, the JCS said. (DPRK-East Sea-Missles)

SANAA -- A brother of the leader of Yemen's Houthi rebel group was assassinated, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported Friday.

Ibrahim bin Badr al-Deen al-Houthi, brother of Abdulmalik al-Houthi, "was assassinated by treacherous hands affiliated with the U.S.-Israeli aggression and its tools," the television said, without giving further details. (Yemen-Houthi-Assaination) Enditem
