JUBA, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- The South Sudan's U15 national team has stepped up preparations ahead of their debut in this year's Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) U-15 Challenge Cup to be held in Eritrea later this month.
The South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) said junior coach Albino Simon has been assigned the role to prepare the junior Bright Stars for the tournament set to run from August 16 to September 1.
The team is currently training in the capital Juba ahead of their Group B encounter with Rwanda, Uganda and Ethiopia next week.
The U-15 is hoping to challenge the senior team which was recently knocked out of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers by fellow east Africans Burundi. Enditem
