PYONGYANG -- Kim Jong Un, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), has guided the test-fire of another new weapon, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Sunday.

When inspecting the new weapon at a launching site on Saturday, Kim said that the new weapon, which was developed to suit the "terrain condition" of the country, has "advantageous tactical character different to the existing weapon systems," it said. (DPRK-New Weapon)

CAPE TOWN -- South African President Cyril Ramaphosa "did nothing wrong" in his 2017 campaign to become the head of the party African National Congress (ANC), said presidential spokesperson Khusela Diko in a statement Saturday.

DAR ES SALAAM -- Tanzanian President John Magufuli has declared three days of national mourning following an oil tanker explosion that killed over 60 people and injured 70 others in Morogoro on Saturday, said a statement released early Sunday.

The statement by the Directorate of Presidential Communication at State House in the commercial capital Dar es Salaam said the three-day mourning lasts from Saturday to Monday. (Tanzania-Explosion)

BOGOTA -- Two leaders of the indigenous peoples died and five others, including a minor, were injured on Saturday during a rebel group attack in Cauca, a southwest coastal department of Colombia, local authorities said.

Members of the local indigenous guard, who are considered an authority amongst indigenous communities, were shot in a rural zone between the municipalities of Caloto and Toribio when they were traveling on a bus, said Oscar Ocampo, the governor of Cauca. (Colombia-Indigenous-Attack)
