Dollar changes hands in lower 105 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 105 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely in line with its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 105.38-39 yen, compared with 105.22-32 yen in at 5 p.m. in New York and 105.25-35 yen at 4 p.m. on Monday in London.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1216-1216 dollars and 118.20-24 yen against 1.1211-1221 dollars and 118.01-11 yen in New York, and 1.1210-1220 dollars and 118.10-15 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in London.
