FRANKFURT, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 70.45 points, or 0.60 percent, to close at 11,750.13 points.
Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.88 percent. Deutsche Post and European health care company Fresenius SE rose by 1.77 percent and 1.68 percent respectively.
Chemical and consumer goods company Henkel lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 7.12 percent. German airlines Lufthansa and housing association Vonovia went down by 2.09 percent and 1.68 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer Daimler was the most-traded share with a turnover of 308.2 million euros (345.8 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
