SEOUL, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Seoul shares opened higher Wednesday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 20.87 points, or 1.08 percent, to trade at 1,946.70 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
South Korea's currency was quoted at 1,209.40 won against the U.S. dollar, up 12.80 won from the previous close. Enditem
