UNITED NATIONS -- "Promoting peaceful settlement of disputes through dialogue, approaching the international humanitarian law and carrying forward the international humanitarian spirit are of great significance," Chinese permanent representative to the United Nations (UN) Zhang Jun said on Tuesday.

At a UN Security Council meeting on the promotion and strengthening of the rule of law in the maintenance of international peace and security, Zhang said that the Geneva Conventions and additional protocols are "shining principles of humanity" which received universal support from all countries.

BEIRUT -- "I have met with Industry and Interior ministers and they have promised to approve decree 128 of the traffic law in the coming two weeks to allow Lebanon to manufacture cars," David Frem, founder of Frem Industry, told Xinhua on Wednesday.
