LONDON, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 1.13 percent, or 80.87 points, to close at 7,067.01 points.
United Utilities Group, a British water company, soared 1.94 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. British American Tobacco and National Grid rose by 1.36 percent and 0.97 percent respectively.
Royal Bank of Scotland Group, a banking and financial services company, lost 10.48 percent. Just Eat, an online food order and delivery service, dropped 5.96 percent. Phoenix Group Holdings, a life insurance and pension funds services provider, fell 5.55 percent. Enditem
