NEW YORK -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) fired two unidentified projectiles into the East Sea on Friday local time, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported, citing the country's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

The projectiles were fired from DPRK's eastern coastal county of Tongchon earlier in the day, according to the JCS. No other details were immediately known, including their type, flight range and maximum altitude. (US-DPRK-Projectiles)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. lawmakers on Thursday blasted an Israeli move to block the visit of two American Democratic Congresswomen following President Donald Trump's tweet.

Israel's Interior Ministry reportedly announced on Thursday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had decided to deny entry to U.S. Democratic members of Congress Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, citing their "boycott activities against Israel." TEHRAN -- The Iranian ambassador to Britain confirmed that Gibraltar released the Iranian supertanker Grace 1 on Thursday.

DAMASCUS -- The Syrian air defenses intercepted an "enemy" missile over the central city of Masyaf on Thursday night, state TV reported.
