HONG KONG -- "Anti-violence!", "Save Hong Kong!" Over 470,000 people gathered on Saturday in a rally held at Tamar Park, Admiralty of Hong Kong, to voice out their demand for peace and stability in Hong Kong.

YANGON -- The death toll of seasonal influenza A (H1N1) pdm 09 reached 96 as of Friday, an official from Ministry of Health and Sports told Xinhua on Saturday.

From January 1 to August 16 this year, a total of 463 laboratory confirmed influenza H1N1 infection cases were reported with deaths inching closer to 100. (Myanmar-H1N1)

JAKARTA -- Seven people including two children were killed and four others went missing as a ship caught fire in waters off central Indonesia's Southeast Sulawesi province on Saturday, head of communication for media at the national search and rescue office Yusuf Latief said.

The incident happened in waters off Bokori Island in Konawe district after the ship left from a sea port in Kendari of the province. (Indonesia-Ship Fire)

GHAZNI, Afghanistan -- Six Taliban militants were killed in an airstrike in Afghanistan's eastern Ghazni province overnight, the provincial government said Saturday.

"A NATO-led Resolute Support aircraft conducted the strike on a Taliban hideout in Hadda village of Dih Yak district, and the strike resulted in the killing of six Taliban militants," the government said in a statement. (Afghanistan-Militants) Enditem
