FRANKFURT, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 151.67 points, or 1.30 percent, to close at 11,802.85 points.
Multinational software corporation SAP won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.81 percent. Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard and manufacturing and electronics company Siemens gained by 2.59 percent and 2.18 percent respectively.
Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 0.79 percent. Telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom went down by 0.56 percent. Energy group E.ON went down by 0.32 percent.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most-traded share with a turnover of 223.3 million euros (247.9 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
