Eritrean cyclist Eyob wins 4th stage of Tour d'Indonesia

JAKARTA, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Eritrean cyclist Metkel Eyob won the fourth stage of the Tour de Indonesia on Thursday.

Eyob, from Trengganu INC TSG Cycling of Malaysia, took 4:16:33 to finish the 151.9km ride from Jember to Banyuwangi, East Java province.

The second position was taken by French cyclist Thomas Lebas from Kinan Cycling Team of Japan, who finished in the same time as Eyob. Iranian cyclist Hagh Amir Kolahdouz from Taiyuan Miogee Cycling Team of China posted third place, 50 seconds behind the leader.

Cyclists will compete on Friday in the fifth and last stage of the race, a 143.6km ride from Gilimanuk to Gianyar.

The Tour de Indonesia has attracted a total of 18 teams this year. Enditem
