AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- A man was shot at the Republic Bar in Westfield Mall, Manukau, Auckland on Saturday.
The shooting was the eighth gun-related victim in South Auckland during the last five months, which have killed three people and injured five people.
According to New Zealand police, the victim had been sent to the Middlemore Hospital by paramedics.
The police have not made any arrests yet. A "police emergency" white tape was surrounded at the scene.
Manukau Councillor Alf Filipaina said "The level of violence was among the worst he had seen in the past 60 years in South Auckland." Enditem
