LUSAKA, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Friday.

-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu has told Japanese investors who have shown willingness to invest in the southern African nation not to wait any further because the country needs investment now.

Lungu said when he met some Japanese investors on the sidelines of the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development in Japan that Zambia was ready for increased investment. (Times of Zambia)

-- Zambia has received about 3.8 million U.S. dollar grant from the United Nations Development Program to promote human rights and improve access to justice in the country.

Minister of Justice Given Lubinda said the grant will contribute toward the progressive realization of human rights and improved access to justice to citizens. (Zambia Daily Mail)

-- African countries need to make the visa application process much easier for international tourists to boost the tourism sector, a senior government official has said.

Minister of Tourism and Arts Ronald Chitotela said the long processes for acquiring visa was making it difficult for the tourism industry to thrive. (Daily Nation)

-- Farmers in Zambia have been urged to take the issue of climate change as a reality and adopt good farming practices.
