LOS ANGELES -- A total of 34 people are unaccounted for and five crew members were rescued after a dive boat caught fire off Santa Cruz Island in Southern California early Monday morning, according to a press conference at the Coast Guard Station Chanel Islands in Oxnard, California.

Captain Monica Rochester, USCG Los Angeles-Long Beach sector commander, told reporters Monday morning that 39 people were on board the 75-foot dive boat, named Conception, when a fire engulfed it in the pre-dawn hours. (US-California-Boat Fire)

LONDON -- British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday called upon members of parliament to vote against "pointless delay" of Brexit, which is being campaigned by opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and some Tory rebels, saying that "I don't want an election."

KABUL -- Casualties are feared after a powerful explosion near a compound frequented by foreigners in the eastern side of Afghanistan's capital of Kabul on Monday, an Interior Ministry spokesman confirmed.
