FRANKFURT, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 49.92 points, or 0.36 percent, to close at 11,910.86 points.
Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp lost 3.80 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by Deutsche Post and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement, which shed 1.36 percent and 1.31 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer Daimler gained 1.00 percent, becoming the top gainer. Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and energy group RWE advanced 0.94 percent and 0.52 percent respectively.
Daimler was the most traded share with a turnover of 165.8 million euros (181.3 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
