BEIRUT, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri on Wednesday denied allegations about Hezbollah being in control of the government.
"Hezbollah does not manage the government. It is only a political party that has a stake in the parliament. I am the one who manages the government," Hariri told CNBC TV Channel in an interview.
Hariri, however, noted that Hezbollah is capable of igniting a war for regional purposes, adding that he is not responsible for Hezbollah's activities.
Hariri said that he cannot waste time by continuously haggling with Hezbollah, but he would rather work on implementing economic reforms to solve the country's serious issues.
Hariri's remarks came few days after the escalation of tensions between Israel and Hezbollah on the borders with Lebanon. Enditem
