RIYADH, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Saudi Arabia-led coalition on Thursday denounced a UN report accusing it of human rights violations in Yemen as "continuation of fallacies."

The report issued on Tuesday was wrote by a panel of UN investigators. It is the second report released by the group which was formed in 2017 to review the situations in Yemen.

It said the U.S., Britain and France may be complicit in the war crimes committed in Yemen, including deliberately starving civilians, by arming and providing support to the Saudi-led coalition. It also called for a ban on arms transfers to the warring sides in war-torn Yemen.

In response, the coalition's spokesperson Turki Al Maliki said that the report is only "a continuation of the fallacies and accusations" contained in the previous report released in 2018.

Based on misleading information by unidentified third parties and allegations by some non-governmental organizations, the report has violated the international humanitarian law, said Maliki.

He assured that the coalition's military operations in Yemen are in accordance with the rules of international humanitarian law and human rights law.

He also said that the coalition is also committed to conducting investigations of any allegations related to its military operations. Enditem
