-- The South African Communist Party (SACP) said on Sunday that the spate of violence in South Africa is a reflection of deeper challenges in the entire South African Development Community (SADC).
"The SADC is in economic and social distress," the party's general secretary Blade Nzimandesaid.(News24).
-- Fresh protests erupted in the Johannesburg CBD on Sunday.
Johannesburg community leaders said they are giving President Cyril Ramaphosa and Police Minister Bheki Cele 24 hours to address their grievances on undocumented illegal foreigners. (Eyewitness News).
-- Former Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) leader Mangosutho Buthelezi said on Sunday that South Africa is in crisis because of the current violence in which foreign nationals and their businesses are being targeted, with some shops being burnt and looted.
