MOSCOW -- The Russian Defence Ministry denied Tuesday a report that warplanes of its Aerospace Force had carried out strikes in the ceasefire zone in Syria's northwestern Idlib province.
Since the beginning of the ceasefire in the Idlib de-escalation zone, the Russian Aerospace Force and the Syrian Air Force have not carried out any combat missions to hit targets on the ground, the ministry's Zvezda broadcasting service said. (Russia-Syria-Ceasefire)

BAGHDAD -- At least 31 Shiite pilgrims on Tuesday were killed and some 100 others wounded in a stampede in the holy Shiite city of Karbala in south of Baghdad, spokesman of Iraqi Health Ministry said.
The incident took place in the afternoon during the major Shiite ritual of Ashura when thousands of Shiite pilgrims pushed into the entrance of Imam Hussein shrine in Karbala, some 110 km south of Baghdad. (Iraq-Stampede)

KHARTOUM -- Sudan government on Tuesday announced 10 priorities to be implemented during the first 200 days of the transitional government period.
Chaired by Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, Sudan's transitional cabinet on Tuesday held its first meeting after taking the constitutional oath on Sunday.
"During the first 200 days, the government will work to implement 10 priorities," Faisal Mohamed Saleh, Sudan's information minister and government spokesman, said at a press conference. (Sudan-Politics) Enditem
