BANGKOK, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed and another six injured on Thursday when a car hit a public van head-on in east Thailand's Sa Kaeo province which borders Cambodia.
Police said the driver of a black Toyota car with Sa Kaeo licence plate lost control and crashed head-on into a loaded passenger van with Bangkok registration.
Most of the victims were Cambodian nationals.
The car driver was injured while the van driver died right after the accident.
The six injured, including two children, were being treated for injuries at a local hospital.
Police quoted witnesses as saying that the car was travelling from the direction of Aranyaprathet and suddenly veered across the lane and hit the on-coming van head-on. Enditem
