MOSCOW -- Russian-Chinese relations are so strong that they simply cannot be harmed, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said.

"The fabric of bilateral interaction is so dense that no third force can drive a wedge in it," Lavrov said in an interview with the Russian newspaper Trud published on Friday. (Russia-China-Partnership)

GENEVA -- Filippo Grandi, the United Nations high commissioner for refugees (UNHCR), on Friday welcomed this week's agreement with the African Union (AU) and Rwanda to set up a refugee transit mechanism for the evacuation of vulnerable refugees from Libya.

RIO DE JANEIRO -- The death toll from a fire at a private hospital in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro has risen to 11, local authorities announced on Friday.
