ULAN BATOR, Sept.16 (Xinhua) -- A concert celebrating Mongolia's longtime friendship with China was staged in the capital city on Monday evening.

The one-hour concert attracted hundreds of people including representatives from the Chinese expatriate community in Mongolia. Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia Xing Haiming was present.

The event was jointly organized by the Chinese embassy, the Chinese Cultural Center in Ulan Bator and China's Tibet Autonomous Region.

The concert is part of several activities planned to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two neighbors, said the organizers.

The performances featured folk songs, dance and music.

"I'm happy to enjoy such a nice concert," said audience member Urantsetseg Gursed. "My son is studying in China, so my family is close to China." Enditem
