PRAGUE, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- A photo exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC)and of the establishment of the bilateral relations with the Czech Republic opened here on Monday to show great achievement in China.

The two-day exhibition jointly organized by several overseas Chinese groups in the Czech Republic, featured more than 130 photos. It displayed great achievement in China in the last 70 years, especially since the reform and opening up.

"From these photos, you can see clearly how China was like in the past, in what position we are today and where China will go in the future," said Zhang Jianmin, Chinese ambassador to the Czech Republic, at the opening ceremony.

He added that the achievements in the past 70 years were made mainly by Chinese people themselves, but in the meantime, China has received a lot of support and help from all over the world.

Petr Mrhalek, executive vice president of Czech-Chinese Chamber of Cooperation, said, "I've been visiting China for more than 50 times in my life and a lot of photos in today's exhibition remind me of the events I experienced myself," adding "I'm looking forward to visiting China again." Enditem
