ADDIS ABABA, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Tuesday.
-- Ethiopia's Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said it has finalized drafting petroleum policy and law.
The documents would help Ethiopia to consolidate its exploration of oil and determine the volume of natural gas in the country to subsequently extract them, it was noted at a workshop organized on Monday to discuss the draft documents. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)
-- A regional cancer center of excellence which will serve IGAD member states will be built in Ethiopia's Addis Ababa at a cost of 450 million U.S. dollars.
The regional cancer initiative has come to address challenges related to cancer in the IGAD region, which comprises of Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Uganda. (ENA) Enditem
