PRAGUE, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Czech and Polish police have cooperated in an operation to crack down on an international gang suspected of massive smuggling of marijuana, according to local media reports on Tuesday.

Ten people have been arrested, including four in the Czech Republic, reported the Czech News Agency (CTK).

The gang smuggled up to hundreds of kilograms of marijuana worth dozens of millions of crowns from the Czech Republic to Poland, CTK quoted Moravia-Silesia police as saying.

The Czech police were alerted about the suspicious gang by their Polish counterparts, and they monitored its activities for one month.

During the monitoring, the police found suspects supplied at least 50 kg of the drug to Poland.

In subsequent home searches, the police seized several kilograms of marijuana, dozens of plants, a few cars, 1.3 million crowns in cash and two houses worth some 7 million crowns. Enditem
