HOUSTON, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- U.S. crude oil production increased slightly during the week ending Sept. 20, U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Wednesday.
According to the EIA, U.S. crude oil production averaged 12.5 million barrels per day (b/d) last week, up by 100,000 b/d from the previous week and up by about 1.4 million b/d year on year. This was the first week that the U.S. crude oil production increased after remaining level for two consecutive weeks.
In the EIA's latest Short-Term Energy Outlook released earlier this month, U.S. crude oil production will average 12.2 million b/d in 2019, up by 1.2 million from the 2018 level. The forecast crude oil production will rise by 1.0 million b/d in 2020 to an annual average of 13.2 million b/d. Enditem
