WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. Senate voted on Thursday to confirm General John Hyten to be vice chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The vote was 75 to 22.
Hyten, who currently serves as chief for the U.S. Strategic Command, has been accused of sexual misconduct by an Army colonel.
The Air Force investigated the allegations and found that they could not be substantiated. Enditem
