CAPE TOWN, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in South African major media outlets on Saturday.
--President Cyril Ramaphosa on Friday announced the members of his new Presidential Economic Advisory Council, an academic-heavy brain trust that he hopes will help spur inclusive growth.
The council, a non-statutory and independent body, will be chaired by Ramaphosa. Its 18 members - from South Africa and abroad - are appointed to serve a three-year term. They are not paid, but compensated for subsistence and travel. (Fin24)
--Public servants marching in Pretoria said on Friday that President Cyril Ramaphosa's call for an end to gender-based violence should be reinforced for all sectors of society.

--National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) head Shamila Batohi said on Friday it is disturbing that 100 cases of gender-based violence are reported to the police countrywide daily.
