LONDON, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.24 percent, or 18 points, to close at 7,408.21 points.
Imperial Brands, a British multinational tobacco company, soared 3.02 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. British American Tobacco and JD Sports Fashion increased by 2.12 percent and 2.06 percent, respectively.
Reckitt Benckiser Group, a British multinational consumer goods company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.97 percent.
