HOUSTON, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- U.S. crude oil production decreased slightly during the week ending Sept. 27, U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Wednesday.
According to the EIA, U.S. crude oil production averaged 12.4 million barrels per day (b/d) last week, down by 100,000 b/d from the previous week and up by about 1.3 million b/d year on year.
In the EIA's latest Short-Term Energy Outlook released last month, U.S. crude oil production will average 12.2 million barrels per day (b/d) in 2019, up by 1.2 million from the 2018 level.
Forecast crude oil production will rise by 1.0 million b/d in 2020 to an annual average of 13.2 million b/d.
