NAIROBI, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Kenya Sevens women rugby team head coach Felix Oloo has promised to deliver an Olympic Games ticket to the team ahead of their qualifier, which will be held next week in Tunisia.

A total of 12 teams will be up for the fight with the winner securing the automatic ticket to the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020. The Africa qualifiers will be held in Jemmal, Tunisia from Oct. 12-13.

Speaking in Nairobi on Friday, Oloo said the Africa Champions will face their hardest challenge to retain their title and clinch the ticket to Tokyo and is a test he will take in his strides.

"We have picked a strong team. Strong character and players who have that sacrificial energy. We know the importance of winning this tournament," Oloo said on Friday.

Kenya is the top seeds in Pool A where they will meet Senegal, Ghana and Botswana. Neighbours and last year's runners up Uganda Lady Cranes lead Pool B alongside South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia while Pool C comprises of hosts Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritius and Madagascar. Enditem
