LONDON -- Nearly 300 people were arrested on Monday in central London during the first day of mass protests by Extinction Rebellion which demand much more urgent action against climate change.

FRANKFURT -- A truck crashed into several vehicles in the German city of Limburg on Monday evening, leaving 17 people injured, according to local authority and media.

A man hijacked a truck around 5:20 p.m. local time and shortly afterwards drove up to several cars and pushed them together, the police of West Hesse said in a statement. (Truck-Crash-Injury)

DAMASCUS -- The Turkish military campaign against the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) began on Monday night in northeastern Syria, Syria's state TV reported, branding the military operation as a "Turkish aggression."

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday defended his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from northern Syria, saying that it is time to get out of these "Endless Wars."

WASHINGTON -- One of the two suspects in the shooting rampage in Kansas City, U.S. state of Kansas, in which four people were killed and another five wounded, was detained, local police said Monday, adding the other was still at large.
