FRANKFURT, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 127.23 points, or 1.05 percent, to close at 11,970.20 points.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.94 percent, followed by semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement, which lost 3.47 percent and 2.96 percent respectively.
Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer, automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and personal-care company Beiersdorf were the top three winners, rising 0.38 percent, 0.38 percent and 0.24 percent respectively.
Wirecard was the most traded share of the day, with a turnover of 325.8 million euros (357.9 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
