--Ethiopia's Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen on Tuesday received and held talks with Sergio Pimenta, the International Finance Corporation's (IFC) Vice President for the Middle East and Africa.

--The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) said it is ready to provide financial assistance to development projects in South Sudan.
The President of the Bank, Bacha Gina, and the Special Envoy and Ambassador of Ethiopia to South Sudan, Teferi Tadesse have held discussion with President Salva Kiir of South Sudan in Juba, whereby President Kiir said that the two countries should be linked with road transport infrastructure in order to create and cement trade ties between the two sides.
