ULAN BATOR, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia will install carbon monoxide detectors in households in its capital Ulan Bator's ger districts free of charge, the country's environment and tourism minister said Wednesday.
"Today, the Mongolian government decided to install free carbon monoxide detectors in households in Ulan Bator's ger districts before Nov. 1," Namsrai Tserenbat told a press conference after a regular meeting of the government.
The decision came after six people were killed and dozens more hospitalized in Ulan Bator since last week as coal was used for heating. Enditem
