MOSCOW, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said Thursday it had detained in the city of Saki in Crimea a man suspected of planning to blow up an administrative building on the peninsula.

During a search in the suspect's garage, a homemade explosive device, components and tools for its manufacture, as well as Molotov cocktails were discovered, FSB said in a statement.

The FSB investigation unit in Crimea initiated a criminal case on the grounds of preparing a terrorist attack and illegal manufacturing of explosive devices, it said.

Crimea was incorporated into Russia in March 2014, following a referendum, which was not recognized by Ukraine. Enditem
