Gunmen attack school in northern Nigeria, kidnapping principal

LAGOS, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- A group of unidentified gunmen attacked a secondary school in north Nigeria's Kaduna, abducting the principal of the school, a local security source told Xinhua on Thursday.

The gunmen invaded the Government Technical Secondary School in Kajuru area of the state late into night on Wednesday, the source said, adding principal of the school was taken away with force.

The source said the gunmen shot sporadically into the air to scare the students and teachers after they forced their way into the school. The principal of the school was later took away from his residence to an unknown destination.

The police is yet to confirm the incident. Enditem
