SOLWEZI, Zambia, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Zambia's Northwestern province aimed to attract more Chinese investments amid deepening bilateral ties, a senior government official said on Friday.

"Our province and the country as a whole is likely to attract Chinese investment following the successful North West Expo 2019, where some Chinese potential investors have indicated their interest," said Willies Manjimela, a Northwestern permanent secretary.

Manjimela said China-Zambia relation had come a long way and should continue cementing their bilateral relations.

The Northwestern Chamber of Commerce and Industry had worked in conjunction with the provincial administration to invite Chinese enterprise to be part of the North west Expo 2019.

According to Manjimela, once Chinese enterprises establish their economic projects in the province, they will help improve economic activities. Enditem
