German shares edge down Monday

FRANKFURT, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index down 25.09 points, or 0.20 percent, to close at 12,486.56 points.

Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard lost 1.44 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and insurance and financial services company Allianz, which lost 1.39 percent and 1.13 percent respectively.

Marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group gained 1.37 percent, becoming the top gainer. Personal-care company Beiersdorf and energy group RWE advanced 1.06 percent and 0.89 percent respectively.

Multinational software corporation SAP was the most traded share with a turnover of 254.1 million euros (280.2 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
