LONDON, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.03 percent, or 1.81 points, to close at 7,211.64 points.
Fresnillo, a Mexican-based precious metals mining company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.75 percent. Evraz, a multinational vertically integrated steel making and mining company, dropped 3.28 percent. Reckitt Benckiser Group, a British multinational consumer goods company, fell 2.51 percent.
Land Securities Group, a commercial property development and investment company, soared 6.08 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. British Land and Auto Trader Group increased by 5.45 percent and 5.32 percent, respectively. Enditem
