ACCRA, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- The Normalization Committee (NC) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that it will hold a live debate for five of the six presidential candidates in the upcoming election.

The debate, which will be held in Accra on Octobet 21, in partnership with three media organizations, will focus on key areas affecting the development of football in Ghana.

The questions at the debate would seek to elicit solutions-based responses from the presidential candidates namely Amanda Clinton, Fred Pappoe, Kurt Okraku, Nana Yaw Amponsah, and George Ankomah Mensah.

The NC said it appreciates and applauds the candidates' willingness to engage the delegates, football community and the fans and supporters with their vision and programs for improving Ghana's football enterprise.

"Their preparedness to debate each other as candidates for the top position of the GFA is refreshing and indicates their embrace of candor and the power of new ideas as essential in the reformation process," the NC said in a statement.

The GFA presidential election will be held on October 25.

The winner will replace Kwesi Nyantakyi who is serving a FIFA life ban following the airing of a documentary last year, which exposed bribery and corruption in the administration of football in Ghana.

The investigative piece captured several corrupt activities by referees, and some football officials. Enditem
