Kongoma Africa dance competition to put on in Namibia

WINDHOEK, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Kongoma Africa dance competition will be launched in Namibia in Namibia on December 7 in Windhoek.

Kongoma Africa is a youth movement with an initiative to scouts for the very best energetic, versatile and diverse dance groups all around African countries.

Issy Nakamwe, Kongoma Namibian president, said the competition offers aspiring dancers an opportunity to compete against each other while getting exposure to boost their careers.

Nakamwe said 15 different dance groups from Namibia will take part in the event.

"The main contest will be when dancers from Namibian group, Nam Jive and Soweto's Finest from South Africa, will also battle it out. Many people who attending the event said they are mostly looking forward to this contest," said Nakamwe. Enditem
