LUSAKA, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Friday.
-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu directed officials in the livestock and fisheries ministry to ensure a deal to export goats to Saudi Arabia was actualized.
The Zambian president said the ministry should ensure that the long awaited goat deal was delivered without fail instead of mere talk. (Times of Zambia)
-- Anti-corruption bodies in Zambia and Zimbabwe have signed a five-year memorandum of understanding to enhance the fight against corruption and money laundering, among other improprieties.
Rosemary Khuzwayo, the acting director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), said the agreement will enable the two countries to share information, knowledge expertise, technical assistance and collaboration in investigations of cross border corruption and money laundering. (Zambia Daily Mail)
-- Former Zambian President Rupiah Banda says current global problems cannot be fought by taking arms but having an educated citizenry.
