RABAT, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- The 2nd International Conference on Justice kicked off on Monday in Morocco's central city of Marrakech, with the presence of more than 800 representatives from nearly 70 countries.

Held under the theme "Justice and Investment," the two-day event is bringing together over 40 justice ministers and several senior officials of high judicial councils and prosecutors.

In a message addressed to the opening ceremony, King Mohammed VI of Morocco said justice is one of the key sectors that help improve the investment environment, promote free enterprise and protect entrepreneurship.

"The investment climate requires legal and economic guarantees that ensure confidence in the judicial system," he noted.

The conference aims to facilitate the integration of the world's economy into the system of globalization and to reinforce channels of communication between the legal and judicial systems. Enditem
